The spiritual book club is a weekly discussion group in which we will explore spiritual books. It will be guided discussion led by Radka Holisova (MA Yoga Studies, Loyola Marymount University).
The next book we will discuss is The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz, a modern classic. The Four Agreements is written in a light, accessible style but resonates with a deep philosophical message. It provides a clear and simple set of principles that help us have better relationships with both the people in our lives and ourselves.
We will be discussing this book on six consecutive Thursdays from 1:15-2:30 p.m. at Lyfe Yoga.  April 6 through May 11, 2017. Drop in, no fee.

Spring’s expanding energy is seen all around us with new growth and blooming flowers! In the Spring, we plant seeds and tend to our gardens. In this season, we feel inspired to experience our own inner awakening and the vibrancy of Spring in our lives! Our yoga practice nurtures our own growth and vitality through its meditative and rejuvenating qualities. When we combine the balancing aspects of the postures with breath, we expand our energy and our self-awareness. With a deeper connection to ourselves, we can plant the seeds for transformation and the qualities we wish to grow in our life. Relaxation practices cultivate presence of mind and ease in our bodies, helping us along on our path towards more peace and well-being. A restorative yoga practice and singing bowls meditation is like “stopping to smell the roses” – a refreshing pause for our body, mind and spirit!

The Aquarian Sadhana is practiced by Kundalini Yoga communities across the world. Doing sadhana in a group develops group consciousness. A group sadhana practice amplifies the impact of the meditation. Yogi Bhajan said that group meditation not only adds to individual effort, but multiplies it.

Sadhana can be done as a group or individually. The ideal is to join in a group practice AND cultivate your individual practice as well. Yogi Bhajan gave us the Aquarian Sadhana in 1992 to take us through the transition into the Aquarian Age. This sadhana prepares our psyches to excel in the new environments and coming decades.

The Aquarian Sadhana attunes your gunas, your chakras, and your mind to the change of the Age. We will need intuition, stamina, both physical and mental, self-awareness, and a new depth of spiritual experience that can hold our identity in the face of global changes, relentless competition, information overload, and ecological and environmental challenges.
