Highlighting A Retreat Experience
Each day, we gather for two asana practices—one in the morning to awaken the body and one in the late afternoon to restore. After morning practice, we gather around the table for a chef-prepared breakfast that feels both grounding and satisfying. As the menu develops, think fresh-baked breads and delicate viennoiserie, creamy butter, local jams and honey, thick yogurt with homemade granola, seasonal fruit, freshly pressed juice, coffee, tea, and milk.

This retreat will feature two private chefs, Timofei and Erika, who will be on hand to prepare what you most enjoy. Imagine moving from your mat straight into a full hot-and-cold breakfast, tailored to your preferences, to fuel your day of adventure.

Our heritage home adds a layer of tradition and history to the experience. Tucked just outside the heart of Sintra, it sits behind a private walled garden – peaceful, quiet, and sheltered. From our gate, you’re only steps from a main local bus line that connects directly to Lisbon and Sintra’s central train station. Prefer to Drive? Lisbon is about 30 minutes away, with even shorter drives to some of Portugal’s most renowned resorts and dramatic cliffside beaches. Onsite parking is available for up to four cars.
After breakfast, the day opens up to explore this extraordinary region. Trails wind through nearby castles, gardens, and national parks, beginning almost at our doorstep. The historic town of Sintra, a UNESCO World Heritage Cultural Landscape since 1995, feels like a fairy-book story with colorful houses and romantic architecture at every turn.

Beyond Sintra, the elegance of Lisbon and the Portuguese Riviera, home to Estoril and Cascais, highlight the tradition and beauty of the country.

In the late afternoon, we gather again for a restorative practice designed to help you unwind. This session can address therapeutic concerns, support deep relaxation, or simply offer a quiet, meditative space to reflect upon the day.
On the first and last evenings, our private chefs are scheduled to prepare our welcome and departure dinners of fresh and locally sourced produce. The meals are carefully planned, accommodating allergies and dietary restrictions, to nourish and support us in our travels. While our menus are primarily vegetarian, poultry or fowl are included as part of the main course.

There is a freedom we experience during retreat. You simply show up to our retreat home joined by new and old friends in a safe and comforting environment. Sitting around on our mats or around the table, we have the chance to reflect on the day, the beauty of the region, and the quiet ways in which life itself is unfolding through this shared experience.
