Root to Rise
A gentle yoga class that moves through breath-centered postures with awareness to help focus the mind & bring ease into the body. The practice will include A Supported Restorative Pose that allows the breath to expand & move more freely, tapping into the healing aspects of our Yoga Practice!
Unwind and Settle
Moving through poses with the rhythm of the breath allows the body mind & spirit to come back to balance. Release tension & cultivate ease through gentle movement and the quiet stillness of restorative postures.
HATHA
Holding Space Through Asana
Center yourself and (re)establish a stability from within that is grounded in expansive love and compassion for yourself, joy and equanimity. We will practice this centering with agency and affirmation through asana that is held to explore and practice embodiment in the present moment, holding space for whatever arises. The power of liberation comes from knowing yourself and understanding your connection to yourself and each other. Queer/Trans* and BIPOC-centered; all peoples are welcome.
IYENGAR
Beginner/Intermediate
“Yoga is the golden key that unlocks the door to peace, tranquility and joy.” – BKS Iyengar
This class will focus on supported asanas, inversions and pranayama for complete relaxation to promote emotional stability. Props: chair(s), blankets, optional bolster.
Back to Basics
This class intelligently introduces you to the basics of yoga. Our Beginner and Level 1 Teachers are rigorously trained to give you the expertise expected in a yoga class. Our teachers provide you a safe environment to learn. In a fun and rewarding method, you will safely learn how to do standing poses, forward bends, backbends, twists and inversions. An empowering and fulfilling way for true beginners to begin a yoga practice.
Beginner
The student will learn the fundamentals of yoga postures (asanas) through body awareness and postural alignment. This class is ideal for the Beginner Student or the advanced student who is looking for a more subtle practice.
Intermediate
Based in the tradition of BKS Iyengar, the Student will develop deep insight in both his/her mind and body. In this style of yoga, Iyengar Teachers will use specific timing, sequencing, and alignment to penetrate the body and mind. Props such as blocks, belts, and chairs are often used to help the Student support and build strength while detailed instruction informs the Student how to safely move in and out of a posture (asana). An Ideal Moving Meditation.
Rise and Shine
A morning class to begin your day. All levels are welcome. Poses will be given in various stages to accommodate different bodies, conditions and practitioners. Props that are helpful are 2 blocks, 3 blankets, chair, bolster, and a strap. If you do not have these props, household items can be substituted as well.
Weekend Warrior All Levels
This is a mixed level class for students who have been practicing in the Iyengar Tradition for a minimum of 6 months. The teacher will offer variations and modifications as necessary according to the level of students in the class. Classes may include Meditation or Pranayama (breathing practices) for those students with maturity in breath work. Please note, we do recommend that you have at least 6 months experience in Iyengar Yoga before taking this class.
Yoga for Beginners
