Join us for an adventure to one of the most beautiful islands in the world. Spend 8 days and 7 nights in the small coastal village of Deià, on the northwest coast of Mallorca. By far, one of the prettiest villages on the island, Deià is perched in a ravine at the foot of the Teix mountain, with views out to the Mediterranean below. Deià, a bohemian town known for its beauty, has long been a magnet for famous artists, writers and other creative people.

Experience the long history, culture and food from this beautiful area as told through our yoga retreat.

The narrative begins as you make your way up the winding road to the property – a 13th century monastery. Surround yourself with the smells of wild flowers, olive and citrus tree. From the moment you arrive, allow the incredible landscape to draw you into the history that dates back over a 1000’s years. Part of the World Heritage Site of the Serra de Tramuntana, this entire area is preserved as an important nature reserve, outstanding in its geology and forest cover and harboring a diversity of plant and animal species, removed from development and urbanization.

The Manor House is a two story home originally part of a 13th Century Monastery set high up on the hillside of the UNESCO World Heritage Serra de Tramuntana of Deia, Mallorca. Surrounded by steep cliffs overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, the property is safely nestled into an idyllic landscape surrounded by millennial orange and olive groves. This unique family owned home offers a one-of-a-kind experience.

The property is accessible via a paved ‘camino’ or narrow road which winds its way up through an ancient olive grove. The manor is comprised of five double bedrooms, three bathrooms, living room, the instructors sleeping quarters and a reception hall that will be used for the daily yoga practices.

A spacious, fully equipped kitchen provides enough room for our chef to prepare a daily brunch and two dinners, and the arched pergola area with BBQ area is the perfect place to enjoy meals. All bedrooms on the ground floor lead out to a terrace with an infinity saline/salted swimming pool and sea views – a perfect spot for lounging, sunset drinks, or journal writing as the sound of sheep bells ring from the terraced hill side.

Become a part of history in this restored monastery high on the terraced hill tops in Deià, Malloraca a part of the World Heritage Site for the way in which nature, culture and traditions triumphantly merge making this retreat an ideal setting for a yoga retreat destination.

Getting Around

The property is a thirty minute drive from Palma’s international airport and about a ten minute drive to the village of Deia. We provide transfers to and from the airport, but rental cars are suggested to explore the entire island during your stay. The island is pristine. The beaches, towns and architecture are spectacular. The Island is truly a nature lover’s dream to explore by foot and by car.  As well as being the favored holiday destination of Spain’s royal family, Mallorca tops the list of Spain’s best islands, and was voted the second best island in Europe and the sixth best in the world. Walking or hiking in the Deia area of Mallorca is a must, and for those who decide upon renting a car, smaller cars are better suited to the road that leads up to the property and throughout the Sierra de Tramuntana.
