Dates: May 25 – June 1, 2019
The villa is a 7,000 sq/ft, Mediterranean style home that combines the white “Cycladic” style walls with modern Italian furniture. Various, spacious white-marble terraces and a large pond style waterfront infinity pool surround the house. There are two spacious outdoor dining and barbeque areas, which are perfect for open-air dinners. The living room combined with open-style kitchen and formal dining area features large windows and balconies overlooking the pool and the sea, offering a panoramic view of the Aegean even while indoors. With such a majestic view and plenty of indoor and outdoor areas, we have enough space to meditate and practice yoga throughout the week.
Our property is considered one of the most unique and exclusive villas that offer the widest range and most inclusive services and facilities for a yoga retreat in Mykonos.
Services at this property include air-conditioning, en-suite bathrooms and an in-house laundry facility, as well as daily maid service and change of bath and pool towels. Bed linens are changed twice during our week.
In addition to the services and amenities of the villa, as guests, we are afforded the opportunity to enjoy the luxurious facilities and services of the 5 star hotel spa and resort, which is located a short walking distance away. There, we may enjoy use of the indoor pool, fully equipped private gym, and the Turkish hammam. As guests of the Villa, discounts on the numerous relaxing and rejuvenating spa treatments are available to us at the resort. And finally, just below the villa and hotel, we have access to a private beach, (which you may see in one of the photos) maintained by the resort with sun beds and umbrellas.
The Chef Meals:
After waking up to a morning yoga practice, we will adjourn to the large dining area for breakfast. Prepared by a local chef, the food and drink will include the standard American brunch menu with regional items popular throughout Greece. We will adjust to dietary requirements when possible.
The Yoga Practice:
There will be two daily yoga practices taught by Liz Rusnak. The morning practice begins around 8:30am in the Vinyasa Flow style and there will be an evening practice that begins at 6:00pm. Follow each practice with any one of the many excursions, reading on the hillside, lounging by the beach or swinging idly in a hammock on the terrace overlooking the southern beaches and islands of Tinos and Delos. Everyone will need to have their own props.
Mykonos offers visitors access to a diverse cultural immersion that encompasses all that Greece has to offer: numerous art galleries, incredible dining, spectacular beaches and proximity to a UNESCO World Heritage site. The retreat is scheduled for when the weather is typically warm but before the tourist masses arrive.
Optional excursions to take advantage of this setting are available as part of this retreat, with many at discounted group rates.
